Murdock Law Firm, PC originated in Casper, Wyoming, in 1996, as Nick Murdock and Associates. In 2001, after welcoming new partners, the firm changed its name to Balzer, Carmen and Murdock. In 2008 with the departure of Cody Balzer and Mark Carmen to set up their own firms in Colorado and Montana, the firm changed its name to Murdock Law Firm, P.C.

Our firm practices civil law representing plaintiffs primarily in the fields of personal injury and oil and gas litigation. The firm is devoted to the representation of individuals and families who suffer injury or death caused by the negligent or reckless conduct of others. In this regard, we have successfully litigated personal injury matters of all types, ranging from subjects such as automobile accidents to carbon monoxide poisonings. We also dedicate a significant amount of our time to litigating oil and gas matters. Much of this work involves representing Wyoming royalty owners who have been underpaid by operators or the persons responsible for making the payments. In all, the firm has successfully litigated over 20 statewide class actions involving royalty underpayment and improper reporting of royalties.
